Junior Financial Account Manager

What will you do?
As a Junior Financial Account Manager, you will work closely with colleagues in the Finance and Corporate Teams to support the delivery of high-quality service to our clients. In this role, you will assist in managing the financial activities of a diverse client portfolio while handling a variety of administrative and financial support tasks. This position requires strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn, good communication skills, and a client-focused mindset.
Main responsibilities include:
- Provide basic bookkeeping and accounting support for a portfolio of local and international clients, under supervision.
- Assist in liaising with clients' auditors and in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS/GAPSME.
- Support the preparation and timely submission of periodic VAT returns and company income tax returns.
- Monitor statutory deadlines in collaboration with senior team members to ensure timely compliance.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies related to client financial activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client transactions and account documentation.
- Communicate and escalate complex queries to senior staff where necessary.
- Assist in the preparation and input of client payments, ensuring proper authorization and timely execution.

Other relevant qualifications for this profile:
- Is in the process of obtaining their ACCA qualification, or holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (a Masters Degree in Accounting will be considered an asset).
- Basic understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
- Computer literate with good working knowledge of MS Office applications, especially MS Excel.
- Ideally, 1–2 years of experience in an accounting or finance-related role (internships or trainee positions will be considered).
- Familiarity with Xero accounting software will be considered an asset.
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and grow within a team-oriented environment.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Demonstrates personal integrity, reliability, and professionalism.
- Detail-oriented, responsible, and proactive with a strong sense of accountability.
